It seems we have not had an animated movie since before Christmas, so it is time for one this week. All you kids better come this week, because next week it will be an “R” movie and only the older “kids” will be allowed in, unless they are with an older adult.
“The Nut Job” is an animated 3D movie and is an action-packed comedy. It follows Surly (voiced by Will Arnett), a mischievous squirrel.
He must plan a heist to get into his town’s biggest nut shop in order to help his pals in the park gather food to survive a long winter (Much like the one we are having). Together with his sidekick, Buddy, he will assemble a rag tag crew to help him get inside the shop. It becomes a fun-filled adventure they will never forget.
Brendan Fraser voices Buddy, and others in the voice cast are Liam Neeson and Katherine Heigl. The movie is rated PG and offers a lot of fun for a cold winter evening.
Next week the ‘R’ movie is “Lone Survivor” based on a true story.
