Wow! Wait until you see the new carpet and freshly painted floors at the theatre. They were brought to you through a grant provided from the Sam Langtry Foundation. Mr. Langtry and his wife moved to Humeston to retire and were residents there for a number of years. They were active in the Humeston community and the foundation has been instrumental in providing funds for many County projects.

The Wayne Theatre Committee is most appreciative. It will not be necessary to remove your shoes when you enter the theatre building.

This week the movie is a major release for the spring season. "Guardian of the Galaxy Part II" will be shown in 3D on Friday at 7:30 p.m., admission cost $6 for adults and children and in 2D on Saturday at 7:30p.m. and Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. admission cost $4 for adults and children.

The entire gang is back with Quill leading his rag-tag band of alien misfits on reward seeking missions and intergalactic battles. And he gets another step closer to learning who his father was.

Enter Kurt Russell as Ego, an eccentric traveler who's created a planet derived from DNA—and now with his son has much bigger plans.

Quill is quick to adapt but his sidekicks are more than skeptical. This results in another edge of your seat, effects lade finale that uncovers the truth.

Critics feel this maybe as good as, if not better than, the original. The awesome mix tape from the 70s brings on nostalgia for those remembering all those songs.

Comedy, action, colorful characters and the Disney touch make this a truly family film also starring Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gilliam, Dave Bautsita and Vin Diesel. It is rated PG-13 for some action, sci-fiction action, violence and language and is two hours and 17 minutes long.

See you at the movies!
