No matter how hot it is, Lineville will be celebrating Bordertown Day Saturday, June 24.
Biscuits and gravy served from 7:30 Ė 9 a.m. start off the celebration. The car show begins at 8 a.m. till noon. Registration will be on the north side of the square. The annual vendor show will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Randyís Short Stop is sponsoring the bouncy house all day opening at 9 a.m.
11:30 a.m. starts the kiddie parade, lineup will be at 11:20 a.m. on the north side of the square.
The big parade starts at 12 noon. Lineup will be at 11:30 a.m. along Main Street.
After the parade Farmerís Bank of Northern Missouri, Mercer branch, will have free watermelon on the square.
There will be kiddie games beginning at 1 p.m. and adult games starting at 2 p.m. The Clio Southwesters 4-H Club will host a cake walk at 3 p.m.
4 p.m. is the sanctioned kid pedal pull sponsored by Brianís Farm Supply. Registration begins at 3:30 p.m. on the south west corner of the square.
Bring your appetite for an evening meal of ribs, cheesy potatoes, green beans and tea from 6 to 8:30 p.m. 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. will be local entertainment with an ice cream social at 6:30 p.m.
The live band Hired Gun will be playing from 7 to 11 p.m. Haleís Fireworks will sponsor a fireworks display, weather permitting.
Hourly drawings will be held all day with the final drawing to follow the fireworks. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Concession stands will be available all day with meal specials. T-shirts in youth and adult sizes will also be available for sale.
