We had an interesting visitor at the theatre this past week. During the free matinee on Saturday, a guy was taking a lot of pictures of the theatre building - from every angle. My curiosity got the best of me so I walked out to visit with him.
He was driving from Minneapolis to Oklahoma City to visit his daughter for the Easter holiday and needed a break. So he stopped on the square for a stretch. He became interested in some of the architecture and started taking pictures all around the square and got to the theatre and was interested why pink and when it was built etc.
He enjoys old theatres and thought ours was unique and he had not seen any with that design. I invited him in and he was again surprised at the size and how it had been upgraded with fabric on the walls.
He decided it was time to be on his way when I discovered he had no shoes on his feet. He said, "No, I didn't intend to take a tour of your square when I go out of the car, but one thing led to another.”
With about 80 kids in the building, I did not think to get his name or any further info about him. Anyway, we have a friend in Minneapolis, whoever he may be.
