Chester Boyd Judd, 90, Lineville, Iowa, passed away May 4, 2018, at the Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, Iowa.

He was born May 18, 1927, in Lineville, Iowa, the son of George Harlan and Carrie Evaline (Rockhold) Judd.

On March 22, 1951, he married Cecile Mirtis Hamilton in Princeton, Mo. She survives of the home.

Chester graduated in 1944 from Lineville High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1945 to 1947 during World War II. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years and retired as postmaster. He was a member of the Lineville United Methodist Church and the Lineville American Legion. Chester loved riding horses.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Enid Judd; two sons, Michael and J. C. Judd; daughter, Debi Moore and granddaughter, Saige Boswell.

Survivors in addition to his wife of 67 years, Cecile; daughters, Carolyn (Speed) Martin of Garden Grove and Georgia Neinas, of Allerton; son, Mark (Kelli) Judd of Princeton; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service was held May 8 at Roberson Funeral Home, Lineville.
Inurnment will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery near Lineville.
