Head to the border for Bordertown Day

Saturday is the day to head south to the border, for Lineville's Bordertown Days.
The June 29 event begins at 7:30 a.m. with a hot breakfast of biscuits and gravy. The concession stand will be open all day with a meal special. At 12:30 p.m., free watermelon will be served on the square, sponsored by the Mercer branch of Farmer's Bank of Northern Missouri. The evening meal is a prime rib sandwich dinner, 6-8:30 p.m.
Get set for the parades! Line up for the kiddie parade is at 11:45 a.m. at the Baptist Church parking lot, with the parade beginning at noon. The big parade begins at 1 p.m. Line up at 12:15 p.m. north of the Baptist Church.
Games for kids kick off with Money in the Hay at 10 a.m. More kiddie games and adult games, cake walks, and a sanctioned Kid Power pedal tractor pull fill the afternoon. For more information, see ad inside this T-R.
Local entertainment takes the stage at 5:30 p.m., followed by an ice cream social. Live entertainment by Firestorm begins at 8 p.m. Fireworks will light the sky at dark.Bring your lawn chairs and join the fun at Lineville's Bordertown Day on Saturday!
