MELISSA LOUSIE GALBREATH
Melissa Louise Galbreath, daughter of Jerry Wayne and Ann Lee (Albers) Galbreath, was born in Corydon, Iowa, on Aug. 10, 1975, and passed away on June 30, 2013, at the Unity Point Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 37 years.
Melissa was a 1994 graduate of Princeton High School and had been employed for several years by the Green Hills Community Action Agency and more currently served as director of the Green Hills Women’s Shelter of Trenton, Mo. She also was a member of the Princeton Assembly of God and a former member of the Princeton Rotary Club.
Melissa is survived by her living partner, Dusty Wilder, of their home in Lineville; daughter, Brittany Cheyenne Wilder and her son, Colton Emmitt Wilder, both of Lineville; a stepdaughter, Amanda Joann Wilder of Springfield, Mo.; two stepbrothers, Daryl Curl of Corydon and Eddie Curl of Rock Island, Ill.; five stepsisters, Melissa Johnston (and her husband, Jason) of Indianola, Rhonda Curl of Moline, Ill., Tiffany Dusenberry of Bethany, Mo., Lisa Dusenberry of Little Rock, Ark., and Angela Laws (and her partner, David) of Jacksonville, Ark.; father, Jerry Wayne Galbreath (and his wife, Joan) of Powersville, Mo.; mother, Ann Lee Dusenberry (and her husband, Joe) of Princeton, Mo.; nieces and nephews, Jesica, Cody, Kamren, Connor, and Owen Granger Phelps, along with other nieces and nephews; sister, Julie Phelps (and her husband, Jay) of Mercer and by other relatives and friends.
Her mother-in-law, Darlene Mae Thomas; brother-in-law, Mitchell Thomas; grandmother, Granny Esther Mae Wilder; uncle-in-law, Carol Dean Wilder; cousin, Jennifer Roberts; aunt, LaDonna Kneedler; grandfathers, Wayne Galbreath and Lloyd Albers and grandmother, Betty Albers, preceded her in death.
Melissa was cremated under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Lineville.
A memorial Service was held July 6 at the Assembly of God.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to offset final expenses. Contributions may be made payable to either Brittany or Colton Wilder, and mailed to the US Bank, 201 Washington Street, Princeton, MO. 64673.
The Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Home of Lineville was in charge of arrangements.
