The holidays are over and it is the start of a new year. Hopefully it will be a good year for Corydon with all the new action going on the square and in the manufacturing community.
It is hard to believe the Wayne Theatre has now been open under the watchful eye of the present board for almost 23 years. Hopefully it will still be a viable venue for the movies 23 years from now. But, it will take some new blood to step up to the board. Some of the present members are tired and have worked hard to keep it in operation. So let us see some new volunteers step up and help with the management. It only takes a few hours a month, and we hope more local citizens take advantage of the facility and watch the up to date movies that shown there.
This week the PG-13 movie is 'The Hobbitt: The Desolation of Smaug.' The dwarves along with Bilbo Beggins and Gandolf the Grey continue the quest to reclaim Erebor. Bilbo is in possession of a mystical and magical ring. After crossing over the Misty Mountains, the group must complete the journey to Lonely Mountains and must seek out the secret door.
In the caste are Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom and Ian McKellen. The movie set attendance records on its opening weekend, but the movie Frozen knocked it out of first place.
Next is Anchorman 2. See you at the movies a lot in 2014!
