In a special meeting held Wednesday, March 18, the City of Corydon council members made the decision to close the Corydon City Hall office to the public effective Thursday, March 19. The door to the office will be locked, however residents may use the drop box location on the east side of city hall for utility payments.
Please be advised they will be accepting payments in the form of check, money order or cash. It was noted if paying by cash, no change can be given and the full amount will go towards the account. If wishing to pay by debit or credit card, or anyone with questions are advised to call city hall at (641) 872-1826.
The motion was also voted on and approved to suspend all water shut offs at properties within the City of Corydon for a period of 30 days. Late fees will also be waived due to the current circumstances. Properties where water has already shut off before the recent developments will not be turned on until payment has been received.
