Relive the past and learn more about history during Civil War Days in Corydon on Sept. 14, 15 and 16 during the eighth annual Thunder in the Woods reenactment at Corydon Lake Park. Sept. 14 will be a School Day, starting at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., come learn about Civil War history that includes medical demonstrations, blacksmithing and other trades. At 6 p.m., there will be a dinner with Gen. Drake of the 36 Iowa performed by Dr. McConville at the Inn of the Six-Toed Cat in Allerton. Call for reservations at 641-873-4900.

On Sept. 15, the camp is open to the public at 9 a.m. with a battle reenactment at 3 p.m. This day will feature medical demonstrations after the battle. Catch the pie auction at 4:30 p.m., the meal for troops and then the period dance at 6:30 p.m.

Church will begin at 10 a.m. on Sept. 16 with the battle taking place at 1 p.m.
