Every now and then we all could use a boost of energy whether it be a Monday morning where we are lacking the start to a new work week or a mid-week pick me up to help get us through. Corydon’s newest business, Falcon Nutrition, is serving up a variety of drink options that can help with the boost of energy and more.

Owners Shannon Vanderflute, Aspen Wik, Vicci Hutchison and Allie Short opened Falcon Nutrition up for business on April 13 in their new location on the Corydon square and are enjoying their new business venture as they greet new faces.

Serving a variety of thermofit teas, their cold drinks are available in three levels. Options available in level one include the thermofit tea which helps burn calories while also providing a boost of energy from natural caffeine in flavor options including raspberry, lemon, peach and cinnamon.

Level two drinks include the thermofit tea along with a lift off. The lift off addition is a packet of B vitamins that give the extra boost of energy with the tea.

Drinks options in level three include the above thermofit tea and lift off along with an added booster. The added boosters include NRG which helps increase mental clarity and gives a gentle boost of energy. Aloe which is good for the digestive system and collagen which is good for hair, skin and nails.

Within each of these levels there are a variety of flavors available where everyone is sure to find a flavor they enjoy.

“If anyone wants to come in and ask us to make a different flavor or have us add something different to an option, we are more than willing to try new teas,” said Vanderflute. “Whether it’s putting coconut into an option or whatever they prefer, we can do that.”

They are seeing one early favorite drink being sold more often than others which is the Bob Marley drink option. The Bob Marley includes raspberry tea, tropical lift off, blue typhoon, pineapple, coconut and strawberry flavoring.

Adding to the local connection they also include drinks appropriately named The Falcon and Wayne’s World for Wayne County. Each flavoring is sugar-free.

“I’m a nurse in Leon and I like the energy they give,” Vanderflute noted.

“I like these because being pregnant, I don’t drink pop but I can drink these,” Wik continued. “I don’t like water, but it gives me the flavor and it’s healthy for me and good for the baby. My baby isn’t getting the nutrients she needs due to issues but with the B vitamins it’s really good for me to have these teas.”

Along with these drink options are the meal replacement shakes that provide 17 to 24 grams of protein, 21 vitamins and are in the 250 calorie range. With 21 different flavors to choose from including Birthday Cake, Cookies and Cream, Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter Oreo Cheesecake, Snickers, Turtle Cheesecake and Wedding Cake, just to name a few, there is bound to be an option for everyone.

“I love the Snickers as it tastes just like the Snickers candy bar,” Vanderflute added.

Plans to include iced coffees and shaved ice options are also underway and will be arriving soon.

“We offer drinks in a mega size which is 32 ounces and a regular that is 20 ounces,” said Wik. “Every other day we are adding new flavors also along drink specials and giveaways.”

“To us this is fun and this is our fun job,” said Vanderflute in closing. “We are loving meeting Corydon people also.”
