This year’s Festival of Trees event has been set for Friday, Nov. 30 from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1 from 1-7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 2 from 1-4 p.m.

There will be awards for the Best of Show and Runner-up trees selected. Best of Show will be awarded $100 while the Runner-up will receive $50. Big trees and kids tabletop trees are included in these divisions.

The dates for setting trees up have been designated for Sunday, Nov. 25 and Monday, Nov. 26. Tear down for the trees will begin on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. and must be completed by Monday evening.

There will be a silent auction where anything holiday themed is welcome. This does include baked goods.

Horse drawn wagon rides, visits with Santa and cookie decorating are all on the lineup. These events will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 2-5 p.m. Bingo games have been added this year, which will be held on Sunday, Dec. 2 from 1-3 p.m.

All money raised from this event goes to families in need in the Wayne County Empty Stocking Program. Please contact the Corydon-Allerton Chamber of Commerce if you wish to be added to the tree contest, bake sale or to volunteer.
