Contestants for Little Miss Merry Christmas and Mister St. Nick

     With Christmas just around the corner, the Little Miss Merry Christmas and Mister St. Nick contest is underway. Cans are now out at local businesses for voting.

     Look for cans displaying the faces of all participants shown to the right at Dollar General, Gasland Express, Hy-Vee, Redeemed: A Second Chance Boutique, Reflections by Gina, The Littlest Cake Shop & Deli, The Alley Cat and Casey’s.

     Cans are rotated every four days between the businesses listed above. Voting is done by placing money in the cans.

     The winner of each contest will be recognized by the can with the most money until they are collected on Wednesday, Dec. 19. The boy and girl with the most donations in their can will be crowned Miss Merry Christmas and Mister St. Nick. All participants will receive a gift bag.

     Girls entered in the Little Miss Merry Christmas contest are Sophia Wells, daughter of Kelsey and Mitch Wells, Nataleigh Nelson daughter of Mandy Matlock, Allissi Trower daughter of Brandon and Heidi Trower, Rylee Davis daughter of Jerry and Amanda Davis and Mahala Davis daughter of Jerry and Amanda Davis.

     Boys entered into the Mister St. Nick contest are Johnathan Irving son of Crystal and Tim Irving, Dahlton Ball son Derrick and Ashlie Ball and Owen Trower son of Brandon and Heidi Trower.

     The crowning will take place on Thursday, Dec. 20 at 5:30 p.m. on the Corydon square bandstand. The Corydon-Allerton Chamber of Commerce will be selling chili and hot cocoa for a quarter a cup throughout the evening.

     The winner of the $500 Jingle Bucks Drawing will also be announced.
