Carla Evans isn’t a new face to the United States Postal Service, but she is a new face in Corydon. As of Nov. 1, Evans filled the position of Postmaster in Corydon replacing Lesha Shelton who is set to retire.
She has been employed with USPS for 25 years, with the past six years filling the postmaster position in Chariton.
Evans is looking forward to her new position in Corydon stating, “Corydon is a really nice community and I’m looking forward to working closer to home.”
Evans and her husband Marvin, a welder employed at Industrial Hardfacing, Inc. in Lamoni, make their home in Davis City. The couple have two daughters McCayla and Chanelle.
