With just over a month to go before the 22-Mile Walk takes place on Saturday, Nov. 9, more details are coming forward for the event. The 22-mile walk is set to begin in Lineville at the Lineville City Park at 8 a.m. with the route traveling through Clio, into Allerton from the Clio blacktop, heading past the Round Barn site east of Allerton then finishing at the Freedom Rock on the southwest corner of the Corydon square.

Following completion of the 22-miles, a spaghetti supper will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Corydon Fire Station. The Corydon American Legion has also donated the upstairs of the building for drinks and a possible d.j. dance to follow.

There will be snack/break stations established along the route for walkers to grab snacks or drinks. The walk will take place rain, snow or shine.

The t-shirt sales will continue through Oct. 16 with all proceeds being donated to the VA Domiciliary in Des Moines that will help local veterans receive needed help.

More details still to come and flyers will be posted. Anyone wishing to help volunteer or provide any donations, please contact Cody Stiles or Amy Carpenter through the 22 Mile walk :IGY6 Facebook page.
