FCCLA

Two Wayne Community School students attended the National FCCLA Leadership Conference held in Anaheim, Calif. from July 1 through July 5. Upcoming junior Kenna Nickell and upcoming senior Katelyn Nickell were recognized at this conference.

Both Kenna and Katelyn received silver medals after competing at the national level with their STAR Event project they hosted and organized at the Wayne Community School this past March. They held a community Dance-a-thon which helped them raise money for the Wayne County Child and Family Abuse Council.

With this Dance-a-thon they were able to present a check in the amount of $1,056 to the Wayne County Child and Family Abuse Council. Raegan Tilley, a 2019 Wayne graduate was also a key member in the organization of the Dance-a-thon.
