Beverly Oxford, 80, died peacefully after battling Parkinson’s and pancreatic cancer, on the evening of Nov. 23, 2018, surrounded by family at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, Minn. She was the loving wife of Harry Oxford. Mother of: identical twin sons, Kevin and Keith, son David and daughter Deanne (Oxford) Rossiter.
Beverly Ann Barnard was born Sept. 5, 1938, in Corydon, Iowa, the daughter of William and Thelma Barnard. She was united in marriage to Harry Oxford on Oct. 6, 1959.
Beverly loved playing cards with friends and family, planning and preparing for holidays and also her hobbies of crocheting and crafting. She shared a passion for birds and wildlife with her husband, especially after they moved to the lake.
She is survived by husband Harry; and her children and their spouses: Kevin Oxford, Phoenix, Ariz., Keith (Ann) Oxford, Denham Springs, La., David (Kari) Oxford, Edina, Minn., Deanne (John) Rossiter, Aurora, Minn.; and five loving grandchildren: Brock, Laura, Elise, Ava and Harrison; and one great-granddaughter, Hannah; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Thelma Barnard and sister, Patricia McBroom and husband Richard.
Donations may be made in Beverly’s name to Solvay Hospice House.
Private services were held at the Aurora Funeral Home on Nov. 29. She rests now in the Aurora Cemetery and in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
