Orley Mark Spinler, “Mark”, 62, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away, April 4, 2019, in Milton, Flo. He was born Feb. 19, 1957, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Dale and Barbara Spinler. Mark attended and graduated from Wayne Community in Corydon in 1976 and then attended Lincoln Tech. On March 15, 1991, he married June Marie Paxson.

He lived in Russell, Des Moines, Chariton and Indianola. After driving trucks for many years, Mark retired as a sewer equipment operator from the City of Des Moines in February 2018.

Mark enjoyed motorcycle riding with his dog Buddy, working on cars, going to the movies, dining out, dancing and traveling.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jeanne Spinler.

Mark is survived by his wife, June Spinler; father, Dale Spinler; children, Marcus (Krystal) Spinler of Indianola, and Andrew Spinler of Des Moines, stepchildren, Jayson (Kristi) DeHaai of Palmyra, Virg. and Janine (Jeff) Bauer of West Des Moines; grandchildren: Matthew DeHaai, Jessica DeHaai, Ashley DeHaai, Cohen Bauer, Norah Bauer, Lucas Spinler, Trenton Spinler and Colesin Spinler. He is also survived by siblings, Diane (Tom) Fleming and Kari (Paula) Spinler; along with pets, Sadie and Buddy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association and the American Diabetes Association.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 11 at 2 p.m. at the Indianola VFW, 105 W. 1st Ave, Indianola.
