VIRGINIA LEOLA CURTIS CORBETT

Virginia Leola Curtis Corbett, 79, of Promise City passed away Sept. 28, 2018, in Promise City. She was the daughter of Eston and Ethel Poe Curtis.

Virginia came from a large family. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. Her Bible was the most important book to her. Virginia enjoyed quilting and crocheting; she also liked to travel. Her favorite trips were to her Aunt Elsie’s. Virginia enjoyed sharing with her children the memories of her childhood as well as he life experiences. Virginia raised her four children on her own. She worked many different jobs; being a mother was the most important to her.

Truly loved, dearly missed; rest in peace our dear Momma, one tough lady.

Virginia was preceded in death by her father, Eston Curtin; infant brother, Robert; sister, Arlene Curtis Nichols Easton; daughter-in-law, Debbie Smith Corbett and grandson, Joshawah Corbett.

She is survived by her son, Craig Corbett; daughter, Camela Corbett Allen Casteel; son-in-law, Dan Casteel; daughter, Wenna Corbett Powders and son Danny Corbett; five grandchildren, Alesia Allen McDaniels (Marty), Gerard Allen, Greg Allen, Jacob Corbett and Derrick Corbett; nine great-grandchildren, Micayla, Kalob, Carmela, Soren and Kristopher McDaniels, Leland Allen, Isaiah Zerad and Alex Allen; sisters, Joan, Thelma and Elaine; brothers, Gene, Lloyd, David and Tim and mother, Ethel Curtis.

A celebration of life was held Oct. 3 at the Church of Christ in Promise City.
